From January 15th to 17th, 2025, the CONNECT project consortium convened in Turin, Italy, for an intensive three-day technical meeting hosted by Politecnico di Torino. This gathering marked an important milestone in our ongoing effort to develop a secure, trustworthy, and dynamic framework for Cooperative, Connected, and Automated Mobility (CCAM) systems.
Focusing on progress and integration
The meeting provided a valuable platform for partners to discuss the progress of all technical components and their integration with our three core use cases: Intersection Movement Assistance, Cooperative Adaptive Cruise Control, and Slow Moving Traffic Detection. Each of these use cases plays a crucial role in demonstrating the practical applications of the CONNECT framework and its potential to enhance the safety and efficiency of mobility systems. Through collaborative discussions and hands-on sessions, consortium members worked closely to ensure that each component seamlessly integrates into the broader framework. This work is pivotal to ensuring that the CONNECT project delivers on its promise of providing robust and secure solutions for the evolving challenges in the CCAM ecosystem.
Preparing for upcoming workshops and conferences
As we move closer to the end of the project (August 2025), preparations are underway for several workshops and conferences scheduled in the first half of 2025. These events will offer an opportunity to share our research findings, technological advancements, and practical insights with a wider audience, including industry stakeholders, policymakers, and fellow researchers.
The meeting in Turin exemplified the spirit of collaboration that defines the CONNECT project. The dedication and hard work displayed by all partners are driving us toward our ambitious objectives. Together, we are building a foundation for safer, more secure, and more connected mobility systems of the future.
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to make significant strides in the CONNECT project. We look forward to sharing our journey and outcomes with the broader community in the coming months.
