Day 1: Expert Insights and Panel Discussions
The first day of the workshop featured thought-provoking presentations and panel discussions on some of the most pressing issues surrounding AI trustworthiness. Speakers and participants engaged in deep discussions on:
- Trustworthiness of data in CCAM and other domains, including aspects such as data reliability, data spaces, and standards.
- Trustworthiness across the AI system lifecycle, covering explainability of AI, bias mitigation, NLP models, and safety.
- AI applications in the 6G and ITS domains, emphasizing the importance of security, distributed machine learning, and resilience in AI-driven systems.
We extend our gratitude to the expert speakers for their enlightening talks and to all participants for their insightful questions and contributions, which helped to shape the discussions.
Day 2: Interactive Working Session on AI Trustworthiness
On the second day, participants took part in a highly interactive working session designed to facilitate deep discussions on the future of AI trustworthiness.
Through a rotating table format, attendees changed groups every 20 minutes, tackling pre-defined questions from different angles. The goal was to leverage diverse perspectives and expertise to identify key challenges and solutions. Following these discussions, moderators summarized the key takeaways, providing a structured overview of the most critical insights.
Next Steps: A Roadmap for AI Trustworthiness
One of the key outcomes of this workshop is the development of a roadmap on AI trustworthiness, which will be based on the valuable input collected during the working session. This roadmap will serve as a foundation for future discussions, research, and policy recommendations in the field of AI trustworthiness.
We – the CONNECT project consortium – are grateful to everyone who contributed to making this workshop a success. Stay tuned – we will soon share the roadmap and key findings with the broader community!
